Scratch Junior Programming

Want to get into the world of coding in a super fun and interactive way? Start with Scratch, a block-based, drag-and-drop programming language designed by MIT to get beginners into code! Scratch is a highly visual programming language, combining instant feedback with intuitive controls. In this course you'll learn coding fundamentals like boolean algebra, logic gates, and loops while creating projects like games and animations using Scratch. In just a week, you'll not only gain a knowledge of how computing makes our world work, but you'll also leave with an amazing final project that you'll get to share with the world!


No previous programming experience required!

  • Basic syntax

  • Sprite movement, sounds, and colors

  • If-then statements and boolean logic

  • Loops

  • Introductory game design

  • Variables and data

Why learn computer science?

In our fast-paced world, programming is one of the most useful skills anybody can have; computer science truly has applications everywhere in our modern world, from biology to engineering to art.
