Introduction to Onshape 3D Modeling

Explore computer-aided design (CAD)! CAD is often used by engineers, architects, manufacturers, etc. to help them with the creation, modification, and optimization of a design. The purpose of this course is to teach others the fundamentals of CAD and to provide them with compulsory skills to create their own 2D and 3D designs. Not only is CAD a future career opportunity, but it can also help improve spatial reasoning and creative thinking skills.

No previous experience required!

Topics covered

  • 2D sketching

    • Planes

    • Tools

    • Constraints

  • Advanced sketching

    • 3D sketching

Why learn CAD?

At present, computer aided software systems have been used over manual drafting to quickly and accurately represent 2D and 3D designs. With CAD, designers like you can make more high quality representations and easily fine tune a design to improve its quality.
